If your life was a television series…

If your life was made into a tv series, would it be a sitcom, drama, comedy-drama, suspense, reality show, or sci-fi? Ha ha!  What would the title be, and what would it be about?

To answer my own question here, I think mine would be a comedy-drama (mostly comedy).  The title would be Beyond These Four Walls.  It would be the story of Annie, a woman who through a series of unfortunate circumstances, has found herself very attached to her home.  She sits and blogs her life away. (lol…sound familiar?) She does get out a little, but not much.  Eventually a friend pries her from her comfort zone and she finds herself every week in some different adventure outside of her four walls.  She goes back to school to learn a trade, learns ballroom dancing (and this is very often the comedy part of the show, since Annie is quite clumsy.)  She volunteers around the community in various ways and upon graduation from school, gets a good job in a local hospital.  She spends time with friends and her children and grandchildren, and even travels from time to time.  You get to meet her nutty extended family which is always fun (especially when she visits her brother Steve…a hot tub soaking, beer drinking, Bob Dylan loving, mountain man). 🙂  And at the end of every episode, Annie gets in her pajamas and blogs about her adventures that week.

So tell me about yours!

  1. My life would be primarily drama from the get-go…but too complex to even attempt to summarize. There’s been so many blogs describing it….Not that there hasn’t been fun and humor within the drama but for sure drama. No reality show could touch it lol though the drama has settled down now (hopefully permanently)…Diane

I hope it’s settled for you too Diane. Mine has in actuality been more drama than comedy too, but I’d rather it was more comedy. LOL…There’s definitely been some comedy in my life…so I’d prefer to accentuate that I think. 🙂 Just like, I’d rather watch a good comedy than a heavy drama that’s gonna stress me out or make me cry. My daughter Jen likes to watch movies that make you cry. I have to really suck it up to try to hold back the tears when she does that, because I don’t like tears. What would your show be titled? 🙂

  2. Tune in for the premiere of “Just Ashley,” a witty mash-up of “Felicity” and “Thirtysomething.” This dramedy brings laughs, tears and unnecessarily deep intrapersonal communication. Guaranteed to engage you the entire season! (Unless, of course, we get picked up by Fox Television. You’re looking at 2, maybe 3, episodes and an abrupt cancellation then…)
