I actually messed up. This week has been somewhat of a blur and I forgot to have people not only submit their suggestions, but also to vote on their favorites by clicking on the thumbs up in the comments with them. So I will post the finalists for both here, and please tell us your favorites for both the Poetry Challenge and the Name That Abstract #4 in the comment section below. Hopefully on Tuesday at noon U.S. Central time, I’ll be able to announce a winner for both. And thanks to all who played! I promise before the next ones to get these rules down better.
Grasshopper Meets Worm Poetry Challenge
The Grasshopper Meets the Worm by Timzauto (Please visit link to Tim’s page to see his poem!)
A grasshopper, a worm, two little things
we overlook. But my granddaughter loves
the creepy-crawly insects, scoffs at gloves,
puts bugs upon her arm unless their stings
might puncture skin. Her fascinated look,
a closeup bug-eyed view — forgive that, please –
brings her applause as she, upon her knees,
knows capture is a temporary nook.
Grasshopper Meets Worm by LBTK – Click on the link to see Sandy’s submission.
Those are the 3 submissions for the Poetry Challenge. Thanks for voting on these!
And now for the Name That Abstract #4 entries:
Here are the suggested names:
Wildflowers in Darkness – submitted by Diane at Hometogo232
Devil Comes A-Callin’ – submitted by Sandy at LBTK
Stopping to Smell the Flowers –
Bird in the Bush – both submitted by Eunice at Living and Lovin
I appreciate your votes on all these. As I said, please submit your favorites for both challenges in the comments below, and thanks. There’s no prize for doing this, other than the fun of doing it, and the winner can brag about their win on their page. 🙂
I’ll close off voting Tuesday at noon, hopefully with a winner for both. Again, thanks for playing…I have fun with these and hope you do too. And again, I apologize for not having the rules down pat for this. Thank you for your forgiveness on that! 🙂
