Abiding Love

Some Say Love

Abiding Love
by Anne Sikes

When I want to give up

You tell me no

When I think I can’t move

You tell me go

When I think that it’s over

You say it’s not so

When I’m tired and lonely

Gently you say, “I know.”

I’m thanking you, Father

For the love that you give

To all your dear children

In this life we live

Through joys and through sorrows

In trials and pain

I can continue

Your love does sustain.
